Superbells Punch Varieties: So colorful you think of Hawaiian Tropics
The Garden Guy traveled for a few days to speak in Lafayette, La., and returned home to see my ‘Punch’ had exploded in color. I am referring to Superbells Calibrachoas Pomegranate Punch, Grape Punch and Tangerine Punch. There are seven punch selections in what has now become a whopping 42 varieties of Superbells.

Spring Days Return
According to redbuds and other flowering trees, spring is here, even after ferocious February weather stressed plants with prolonged freezing temperatures. This April, the Spring Lake Garden Club celebrates a collective yard of the month, featuring photos from San Marcos yards that survived “Snovid 2021.”

Happy Easter
Easter Sunday dinners are a tradition for many families, and a great number of those families enjoy lamb on Easter Sunday. Lamb is a significant symbol of Easter because Jesus is often referred to as the “Lamb of God.” Additionally, lamb was sacrificed during the Jewish Passover and subsequently became symbolic of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.

Art League hosts art supply swap at Art Squared for local artists
The San Marcos Art League has begun its 2021 Art Squared Market season, and during the months of April (10), July (10) and October (9), they will be hosting an art supply swap for local artists of all kinds. SMAL is encouraging all artists to come to the Hays County Courthouse lawn (111 E. San Antonio St.) from 10am-1pm with their gently used art supplies and trade them out for the ones they need. This event is completely free of charge.
