Bernard Clay Schmeltekopf was born on July 22, 1954, but we all knew him as Clay… or partner, primo, jack, 228, El Burro, along with many other fun nicknames, or his most beloved, Papa. Clay was called home to his Lord on Thursday the 29th of September, 2021. Clay is survived by his wife Diane, son Randall and his wife Morgen, grandson Carter Clay, Joshua Orr and family, mother Peggy Schmeltekopf, sister Diana and her husband Robert Jones, and their children Casey and Kyle as well as countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins across the Schmeltekopf and extended family. 10/03/2021 05:00 AM

Ricardo "Rick" Garcia, 60, accepted his final hunting and fishing license under our dear Lord, Saturday, September 25, 2021. Born in San Marcos, Texas, Rick was the son of the late Remigo & Severiana Garcia. At a young age, he danced Folklorico even though he disliked it, but his mother was adamant about him learning. Fast forward to his early 20s, he loved to dance and go to the Seguin Ballroom to show off his dance skills with friends. Years later he went to ACC and got his Mechanic license and was employed by Goodyear, City of Seguin, the City of San Marcos, and SMCISD.
