Buda City Council to contest formation of MUD for potential development
The city of Buda City Council voted during Tuesday’s meeting to contest a recent petition to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for the formation of a municipal utility district (MUD) that would serve the proposed Persimmon residential development adjacent to RM 967.

Pets of the Week
Andes is an adventurous 5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix with a playful, goofy spirit. This sweet pup loves the water and is often hanging out at the kiddie pool with a big smile. Andes has had good interactions with other dogs and has cohabitated with several dogs in kennels. This handsome fawn-colored pup has been at the shelter since late January of 2022, and he is excited to finally head to a forever home!

Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival to take place Sept. 23-Oct. 29
The Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival announces dates for the 3rd and final year of the Fall festival, taking place over six weekends from Sept. 23 to Oct. 29, with an official grand opening the weekend of Sept. 23 - 24. The event will be held at the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead (located at 419 Founders Park Rd. Dripping Springs). The festival will be open for six weekends in the fall, each Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
