With a new year, it’s time for New Year’s Resolutions

Reasons to not make New Year’s Resolutions
If I hear that “New Year, New You” tagline one more time during the holidays, I am going to go crazy. By making a resolution for a whole year, you could be setting yourself up for failure because you have a lot of time to either make or break a resolution. I know there are a lot of people, including myself, who don’t have enough self discipline to make the resolutions last a whole year. Making a resolution and trying to hold yourself accountable for it for a whole year is overwhelming and will often times make you feel like a failure simply because you have a lot of time to either make the resolution work or to try and fail.

Price Center marks 20 years as a vital community benefit
Members, volunteers, donors, friends and staff of the Price Center gathered on the evening of Dec. 12 to celebrate 20 years of serving the greater San Marcos community. The anniversary marked the exact day in 2002 when the city of San Marcos granted the Greater San Marcos Area Seniors Association (GSMASA), the operators of the Price Center, a Certificate of Occupancy to begin serving the public. Since then, the Price Center has become a hub for many of the community’s ongoing arts and cultural activities as well as private and public celebrations in downtown San Marcos.
