Hays County Sheriff’s deputies arrest San Marcos man on aggravated sexual assault of a child charge

Hays County Sheriff’s Office deputies recently arrested a 58-year-old San Marcos man on a warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child. 

Robert Bernal, who was listed on Hays County Crime Stoppers’ “Most Wanted” list, was arrested on Tuesday after crime stoppers received information that he was a San Marcos resident. Deputies arrested Bernal within 15 minutes of receiving the information from an anonymous caller, HCSO said. 

The incident Bernal was arrested for took place on March 8, 2020, according to Hays County Jail records. Bond has been set at $100,000. Bernal remained in the county jail at the time of publication

The sheriff’s office stated that anyone with information regarding criminal activity or wanted persons can contact crime stoppers anonymously by calling 1-800-324-8477 from anywhere in the U.S. or information can be submitted online to Tip Line: P3tips.com. 

Hays County Crime Stoppers recently released a “most wanted.” Crime stoppers listed LouJack Lombardo who’s wanted by HCSO for continuous family violence, interfere with request for emergency assistance and assault family violence; Juan Carlos Pina-Pereles for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; Mardomiano Mora-Flores for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and continuous family violence; Darren Burke for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon; Albert Cervantes for aggravated assault of a child; Issac Aguirre for injury to child/elderly/disabled with intent bodily injury; and Claudio Pernalez for evading arrest detention with vehicle; possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces; possession of controlled substances PG 3<28 grams; driving with license invalid with previous.  

The Buda Police Department has warrants out for Ralph Rodriguez for intoxication manslaughter and evading causing death; and Juan Pablo Acosta for multiple sexual assaults. Hays County Crime Stoppers listed Karen Noralma Nava on its most wanted list, who has a warrant out for her arrest for tamper/fabricate physical evidence; possession of controlled substance PG 1;  possession of controlled substance PG 3; possession of controlled substance PG 1 with intent to deliver by the Kyle Police Department.
