Davonte Tennille Miller, 20

Suspect identified in Mill Street shooting

Wednesday, September 25, 2019

On Tuesday evening, an 18-year old female was shot multiple times in her extremities.

According to the City of San Marcos, SMPD responded to gunshots at approximately 7:54 p.m. Tuesday night. Officers who found the woman applied tourniquets to her injuries before  she was transported by EMS to Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle. According to the City, she is expected to survive.

“An investigation determined the shooting happened in a parking lot near the victim’s residence,” stated a press release. “Area surveillance video shows a 2010 Hyundai Genesis pull into the parking lot, and back into a parking space. A few moments later, the video picks up three gunshots, followed by two people running to the offender’s vehicle. The vehicle then speeds off at a high rate of speed.”

Police are still searching for the suspect identified as Davonte Tennille Miller, 20. The second individual is an unidentified female who currently has no charges.

According to the City, drugs may be a factor in the incident that led SMPD to obtain an arrest warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly weapon for Miller.

Anyone with information about the shooting or regarding Miller’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Raven at 512-753-2303.
