Sunday, March 21, 2021

The LBJ Museum of San Marcos will be hosting its annual Golf Tournament, the Ted Breihan Open, on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle. The format of the tournament is a Florida Scramble and all proceeds benefit the museum. Registration is at 7 a.m. with tee off at 8am concluding with a silent auction and lunch.

Ted Breihan has been a community leader for decades and the museum is proud to have had Mr. Breihan as a member on its Board of Directors from 2000 to 2014. A 1953 graduate of Southwest Texas, now Texas State University, he served on the San Marcos City Council from 1974 to 1980 as well as other community organizations such as the Southside Community Center, the Scheib Center and the United Methodist Church. The LBJ Museum of San Marcos is honored to name its annual golf tournament in Mr. Breihan’s honor.

The Ted Breihan Open has raised thousands of dollars for the museum in the past and has been one of the museum’s most successful fundraisers. Don’t miss out on participating in this historic event, gather your golf clubs and sign up to play today. Other sponsorship opportunities are available including cart, raffle and hole sponsors.
