The ninth biennial Senior Citizen Expo

Senior citizens and caregivers are encouraged to attend the Ninth Biennial Senior Citizen Expo that will take place on Thursday, Jan. 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins. 

The expo is a free event hosted by the San Marcos Parks and Recreation and the Senior Citizen Advisory Board.

The event helps connect residents with goods, services, organizations, discounts, clubs and more that serve the needs of the senior community in the San Marcos area. The event will feature vendor booths, light lunch refreshments and great door prizes, including a $100 gift card to Target. 

Vendors for this event include assisted living and retirement communities, community and civic organizations, Medicare and Medicaid professionals, government organizations, medical representatives, nursing homes, home health agencies, retail establishments and more.

Additional parking will be available in the small parking lot behind St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 624 E. Hopkins St. Shuttle bus service to and from the Activity Center will be provided.
