Spring Lake Garden Club meeting

Spring Lake Garden Club will meet Thursday, April 11 to review local club members’ gardens. The monthly meeting is from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. at McCoy’s Headquarters Conference Room, located at 1350 North Interstate 35 on the east access road.

Club members Dee and Robert Tusch will share photos and stories of club members’ own gardens. Local gardeners find great joy in gardening for food and beauty in their surroundings, even though they are challenged by the deer population and the sometimes ever-changing Texas Hill County weather. Sharing their successes with other members will be both enjoyable and educational.

Spring Lake Garden Club is open to all who are interested in increasing their knowledge of gardening, especially for those gardening conditions and opportunities of the local area.

One ongoing project by the club is the selection of A Yard of the Month. An article and photos of the selected home site are publicized monthly in the San Marcos Daily Record. Other community projects include support of the Hays County Food Bank and Arbor Day.
