Texas State Department of Theatre & Dance to present ‘DeMaskUs: a.k.a Running’
Texas State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance presents the devised work titled “DeMaskUs” Feb. 23-26, in the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre.
Devised and scripted by Nadine Mozon, “DeMaskUs a.k.a. Running” aims to shine a fish-eyed lens on a host of broken notions, history and ever- evolving constructs over time. The playwright poses questions about the fast-spinning modern world: Humanity is running and flung, but to where? Toward or away from what?
A play about reclaiming sanity one breath at a time, “DeMaskUs” presents a flawed, rumpled and gifted assortment of characters who find themselves and one another, a pilgrimage of sorts, with fits and starts and rest stops along the way.
Individual tickets for “DeMaskUs” are $20 for adults, $13 for groups larger than 10 and $10 for students, staff and faculty. Patrons may purchase tickets online at txstatepresents.com.
