Voting begins for Art League design contest with cash prizes

The San Marcos Art League hosted a graphic design contest throughout the beginning months of 2021, and the deadline for entries closed on March 1. Now is the time where the Art League asks San Marcos community members to vote on their favorite design, where the winner will have their design showcased on the 2021 Art Squared tote bags as well as a $100 cash prize. Second and third runner-up designs will receive a $75 cash prize and a $50 cash prize.

This year’s theme for the 2021 Art Squared design contest was connection. Through these designs, judges wanted to see how Art Squared, or the arts in general, connects us as a community. The Art League encourages voters to keep this in mind when voting on their favorite design. To vote, visit artsquaredmarket.com and find the Logo Competition 2021 tab and from there you will be able to choose your favorite design.

Voting closes March 22 and the winning design will be printed on the Art Squared 2021 tote bags in April. Bags will be available for purchase for $10 or you can acquire one for free by using the Art Squared vendor cards at any Art Squared market. Pick up one of these cards from an Art Squared vendor, then for every $10 you spend you can get a sticker or stamp on your card. Once you reach ten stickers, visitors can take their filled card to the San Marcos Art Center and redeem it for a free tote bag.
