Home For Christmas

Her home got flooded not once, but twice, in 2015. But now, Carmen Martinez has a brand new elevated house on Conway Drive.

The Gary Job Corps Student Government Association (SGA) and Recreation Department recently conducted a food drive for the Hays County Food Bank to help feed those in need for the Thanksgiving holiday. Thanks to several staff who participated by bringing in can foods, nonperishable items and monetary donation of $229.65 the community brought in 208 pounds of food items feeding 10 families for a week.
