GRA Trail Riders make annual visit

The Greater Randolph Area Trail Riders, led by Joe Coldewey,  made their annual stop in San Marcos Monday. Joining this year’s ride was County Judge Ruben Becerra, who is assisted by Constable David Peterson. Daily Record photos by Denise Cathey

Peach cobbler that was served free to all who showed up to wish the riders well.

After more than an hour of riding, scout Chris Blackmor leads two horses to a water trough to rehydrate.

As the crowd waits for the appearance of the trail riders Janis Salmon dishes up cups of Main Street program’s famous Dutch oven peach cobbler.

 During the first break from riding after the group set off from Freeman Ranch Rachelle Keller holds the reins on horses Rex and Magnum as they graze on the grass.
