A potential decision on what to do for a new central office, including the possibility of a bond election, is on the San Marcos CISD board of trustees’ agenda for a special called meeting on Monday.
The meeting, which will begin at 5 p.m., will include agenda prep for the board’s next regular meeting. However, the agenda includes a presentation and possible action on central administration and an action item to call a bond election in the district.
At the board’s last regular meeting, discussion of a new central office building included the possibility of building a new facility on district property on Hunter Road, near several other district departments, for a cost of about $4.6 million, and the possibility of holding a bond election and asking SMCISD voters for $8 million for a new central office.
