City of Kyle to host Santa’s Arrival at Mary Kyle Hartson Park

The City of Kyle will mark Santa’s Arrival on Thursday, Dec. 1 at Mary Kyle Hartson Park.

The city invites family and friends to the official kickoff of the holiday season in Kyle on Dec. 1 from 4-9 p.m. Since 1999, the city has invited Santa to Mary Kyle Hartson Park to take part in the downtown tree lighting event. This family-friendly event features holiday music performed by local school choirs, free activities for families and a chance to visit and take photos with Santa.

Performance Schedule:

  • 4:30 p.m. — Kyle Elementary School Performance
  • 4:45 p.m. — Blanco Elementary Performance
  • 5 p.m. — Science Hall Elementary School Performance
  • 5:15 p.m. — Negley Elementary School Performance
  • 5:30 p.m. — City of Kyle Barton Twirlers Performance
  • 6:10 p.m. — Tobias Elementary School Performance
  • 6:25 p.m. — Hays CISD Honor Choir Performance
  • 6:40p.m. — Hemphill Elementary School Performance
  • 6:55 p.m. — Chapa Middle School Performance
  • 7 p.m. — Barton Middle School Performance
  • 7:15 p.m. — Wallace Middle School Performance
  • 7:30 p.m.—- Dahlstrom Middle School Performance
  • 7:45 p.m. — Doral Academy of Texas in Buda Performance
  • 8 p.m. — Lehman High School Performance
  • 8:15 p.m. — Hays High School Performance
  • 8:30 p.m. — Johnson High School Performance

The city said selected vendors will be on site with festive food, drinks and holiday vendors will have special holiday-related items to give you a head start on Christmas shopping.

Santa’s Arrival is just the beginning of the city’s December holiday celebration. The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department begins its 25 Days of Christmas, beginning Dec. 1

The month-long event includes daily events like Festive Fridays and Toy Tuesdays at Mary Kyle Hartson Park. Stop by for live music and local vendors from Dec. 1 through Dec. 25 and get in the holiday spirit.
