SMCISD feeds nearly 900 students

San Marcos Consolidated ISD began its "grab and go" meal service for students on Monday. The school district is ensuring students are fed during the its suspension of normal operations. According to Andrew Fernandez, SMCISD executive director of communications and public relations, the district fed nearly 900 students on Monday. The pick-up meals will continue throughout the district's closure.

Breakfast can be picked up at: San Marcos High School, Mendez Middle School, and Travis Elementary School from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

Lunch can be picked up at: San Marcos High School, Travis Elementary School, Mendez Middle School, Allen Wood Housing, C.M. Allen Housing and Redwood Baptist Church from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

SMCISD states that meals must be picked up in a vehicle and the children must be inside to receive a meal.
