TXST receives honor from Princeton Review

Thursday, August 15, 2019

Texas State University received high honors by the Princeton Review.

The university was named one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduates to earn their college degree in the Princeton Review’s 2020 edition of The Best 385 Colleges.

"We salute Texas State for its outstanding academics and we are truly pleased to recommend it to prospective applicants searching for their personal 'best-fit' college," said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review's editor-in-chief and lead author of The Best 385 Colleges, in a statement.

The education services company only profiles about 13 percent of the 3,000 four-year colleges in America in the publication. Princeton Review chooses colleges using annually collected data from administrators at hundreds of colleges about their institutions’ academic offerings. Additionally, data gathered from the company’s surveys of college students who rate and report on various aspects of their campus and community experiences is used to evaluate colleges.

The publication does not rank schools in its list of 385 colleges.
