Kay Leffingwell Halm age 81, of Fischer Texas went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on January 8, 2026. She was born Patricia Kay Leffingwell on March 10,1944 in San Marcos, Texas to Tot and Stanley Leffingwell. Kay graduated from San Marcos High and then attended Southwest Texas State University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. Kay married Kenneth Edwin Halm, 61 years ago on June 13, 1964. Kay was a devoted wife, nurturing mother and grandmother. Kay was a teacher for 36 years at Highland Park Preschool and Hyde Park Baptist School in Austin. When she retired she and Kenneth moved to Fischer,Texas and Kay jumped into volunteering at their church working as an office helper and coordinating Bible School. Kay will be remembered for her loving spirit, her strong faith in the Lord and for being a wonderful, caring mother, grandmother, teacher and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clifford Stanley Leffingwell, Tot Leffingwell and her brother Clifford Stanley Leffingwell II, Elizabeth (Betty) Leffingwell(sister in-law), & Audrey(Sissy) Klabunde(sister in-law).

Kay is survived by her husband Kenneth Halm, her son Dwain Halm, Tara Ambrose(nancee to Dwain), her daughter Laure Stroh and husband Mike Stroh and her grandchildren Jennifer Schenk and husband Karl Schenk, Brandon Halm, Emery Redniondffiancee to Brandon), Robert Halm, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kay’s celebration of life will be at 10:00am, Friday, January 16,2026, at Wimberley Presbyterian Church, 956 FM 2325, Wimberley, Texas. The family will be hosting a reception afterwards at Black’s BBQ located in San Marcos, Texas.

Kay will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. She was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met.
