Pastor Pedro “Pete” Isabel Sierra, husband of Gloria Villanueva Sierra, son of the late Pedro Torres Sierra and Maria Miranda Tello, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at his home in San Marcos, Texas on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Pete married his beloved wife, Gloria V. Sierra, on September 12, 1981, in Martindale, Texas. They were blessed with six children and made San Marcos their home for 40 years.

Pete had a passion for meeting new people and helping in any way possible. He worked in sales for American Nationals, Southern Life and Thomason Funeral Home (2014) for about 25 years throughout his life.

Pete was also a Pastor at Agape Fellowship in San Marcos, for approximately 10 years and has served the lord for 26 years. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his bike in the country, playing volleyball and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Gloria V. Sierra; his children Rene Villanueva (Erika Garcia), Ronnie Villanueva, Jennifer Mesa (Jesse), Christopher Sierra, Rudy Sierra (Christina) and Briana Tapia (Carlos); and his 21 grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings David Tello (Lori), Patricia Herrera (Alfred), Terry Sauceda, Rita Alaniz, and Pete Sauceda (Julie).

Visitation will be at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos on Monday, January 10, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A viewing will take place at Sinai Pentecostal Church in San Marcos on Tuesday, January 11 at 9 a.m., followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow.
