LETTER TO EDITOR
Wednesday, May 31, 2023

On behalf of the Heritage Association of San Marcos, we sincerely thank our sponsors for the generous donations to our Town & Gown Tour at Texas State University.

In addition, our special thanks go to our top-tier sponsors Texas State University, La Cima San Marcos, Eleanor Crook, Community Impact, Palmer’s Restaurant and Bar, Cody’s Restaurant Bar & Patio, San Marcos Daily Record, Germer Insurance Services San Marcos, Divided Sky Roofing & Solar, Advanced Imaging Radiology San Marcos, Nephews San Marcos, North Street, and Sergi & Associates for their ongoing commitment to the Heritage Association preservation efforts.

Our 46th Annual Heritage Tour and After-Party were hugely successful thanks to the many volunteers and attendees.

Our thanks primarily to the Tour Chair Bronwyn Sergi, Co-chair Heather Demere, After Party Chair Michelle Harper, and the unparalleled team at Texas State University led by Cristine Black, who brought all the right people to the table and kept us on task.

The tour efforts came together successfully with the expertise of Dr. John Root, Dr. Gordon Bohmfalk, and their power committee of Elias Martinez, Callie Lewis, and many more.

We are profoundly grateful to President Kelly Damphousse for sharing the Art & Architecture Tour vision and to Dean John Fleming for endorsing the initial idea and setting things in motion.

The University welcomed the Heritage Association and our community volunteers with open arms and a willing spirit, and we are excited and thankful for being a part of this new era at Texas State University.

Debbie Austin, President Heritage Association of San Marcos
