The Texas State baseball team will head up I-35 in 2024 to compete in the 5th Annual Karbach Round Rock Classic. It takes place Feb. 23-25, 2024 at Dell Diamond, home of the Texas Rangers AAA affiliate Round Rock Express, and will see the Bobcats face Kansas, Kentucky and Washington State.
It will be the first time that Texas State competes in the event. The Bobcats have previously played 22 games at Dell Diamond with the last coming against Texas on Apr. 8, 2008.
First up will be a 6 p.m. contest on Feb. 23 against the Jayhawks. It will be the third meeting between the programs, that has seen each team claim a victory, and it will be the first matchup since 2001, when the teams played in Round Rock. Last season saw the Jayhawks go 25-32, to finish eighth in the Big XII with an 8-16 record.
