It was a rough day for Texas State as the Bobcats fell to the No. 18 Baylor Bears 3-0 in a game that was called early due a tornado warning in the area.

The Bobcats drop their record to 29-20-1 overall.

The first inning was a rough start for Texas State as Baylor was on the board with a solo home run in the bottom of the first to take a 1-0 lead.

Following a scoreless second inning, Baylor again struck back.

After a one out walk, the Bears ripped a double down the right field line to score the runner as Baylor went up 2-0.

Baylor continues their momentum in the fourth inning as the Bears got on base with a lead-off single.

After the runner advanced to second following a wild pitch, the Bears scored again as a Bobcats throwing error allowed the runner to score as Baylor went to 3-0.

The fifth saw no runs scored on either side as the game was soon called off after a tornado warning was established effectively ending the game.

It was a rough night for the Bobcats at the plate as Texas State could only muster one hit and draw two walks.

Texas State returns to play this weekend as the Bobcats make the trip up to Huntington, West Virginia to take on the Marshall Thundering Herd.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams with Marshall joining the Sun Belt Conference last year.

First pitch is today at 12 p.m.
