Texas State senior Tramesha Hardy was selected as the Sun Belt Women's Track Athlete of the Week on Wednesday, the conference announced.

Hardy had a prolific meet at the Bobcat Invitational, taking two victories in her three races. The Houston C.E. King graduate crossed the finish line in the 200 meters in 22.72 seconds, good for first place at the meet, a new personal record and the best time in the league. She nearly eclipsed the top Sun Belt time in the 100 meters as well, clocking in at No. 2 in the conference No. 7 in program history at 11.46 seconds.

The senior also teamed up with freshmen Live Hilton, Sadi Giles, and Anayah Washington to take gold in the 4x100-meter relay at 45.57 seconds, the third best time in the Sun Belt.

This is the third time a Bobcat has won a weekly laurel this season. Senior mid-distance runner Kyle Denomme took the men's honor on March 27 and senior thrower T’Mond Johnson earned the Sun Belt Men's Field Athlete of the Week award on April 24.

Texas State will square off in the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships on May 10 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
