The first week of the playoffs has flown by as the teams either celebrated winning the trophy or were sent home.

Strong fourth quarter rally pushes Lady Rattlers over Austin High

Using a 12-0 run in the fourth quarter, San Marcos toppled area powerhouse, the Austin High Maroons, 45-34, as the Lady Rattlers improved to 4-0 on the year.
Texas State looks to rebound once more as the Bobcats take on rival Arkansas State.

Texas State regroups after loss to Coastal Carolina

Following a tough loss to Coastal Carolina last Saturday, the Bobcats were back on the field looking to regroup as Texas State will face off with rival Arkansas State.
Samantha Wunsch and Jade Defraeye team up for the block in the Bobcats last home game against Coastal Carolina. Texas State leads the conference in blocks and is ranked in the top 10 in the nation. Defraeye leads the conference in blocks individually.

Bobcats look to add another conference tournament title with defensive mindset

It’s as consistent as death and taxes that Texas State Volleyball is headed to racking up one more championship.
Forward Josiah Hollman fights through the Southwest Legacy defense during the Rattlers game against the Titans. Hollman finished the game with 22 points and 10 rebounds giving the junior a double-double for the night.

Rattlers knock off San Antonio Southwest Legacy in OT for first win of the season

San Marcos opened up the 2023-2024 season in exciting fashion as the Rattlers defeated the San Antonio Southwest Legacy Titans, 63-57, in overtime.

Bobcats blow out Bowling Green to move to 2-0

In one of the biggest wins of the season up to this point, Texas State knocked off the Bowling Green Falcons, a 30 win team from a season ago, en route to a 74-48 win as part of the Sun Belt-Mid American Conference Challenge.

Ode to New York Marathoners

I watched the New York City Marathon last Sunday afternoon. The NYC marathon is considered to be the largest marathon in the world and with approximately 50,000 runners entered it seems well qualified for the title. I received a few comments from friends about how I could watch some people run down the streets when the Dallas Cowboy game was on.
Kutter Gage Webb rounds second base in the Rattlers district home game against Steele. Webb signed his national letter of intent to play for Texas State.

Bobcats sign 11 new players to 2024 class

Texas State signed 11 new players to their 2024 class during National Signing Day for non-football sports.
