How to adopt these pets
Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter. All ready-to-go pets are normally $22 and include spay/neuter, vet exam, vaccinations, and a microchip. To meet the pets, visit the San Marcos Regional Animal in person from noon-7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon-5 p.m. on Saturdays, or online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/adopt to choose a pet and fill out an online adoption application. Live music shows hosted by volunteer DJs encompass Celtic (“Celtic Corner,” Saturdays 12-2 p.m.), country (“Texas River Tonk,” Fridays 12-2 p.m.), heavy metal (“Metal Mark Live,” Thursdays 10 p.m.12 a.m.), and more. Golden Sweetheart’s Ball tickets are on sale now
The city of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the 23 rd Annual Golden Sweetheart’s Ball on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 6-10 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, located at 501 E. Hopkins. This Valentine celebration is geared toward couples and singles, ages 50 and above, in San Marcos and surrounding communities.

2nd Annual San Marcos Studio Tour upcoming
MotherShip Studios presents the second annual San Marcos Studio Tour. The tour will include artists' studios within the San Marcos and Martindale city limits and will run April 5 - 7, the weekend preceding the big 2024 Eclipse. It will begin with a kick-off event at MotherShip Studios on April 5 at 7 p.m. where guests can mingle with local artists and explore a group exhibition of all the participating artists which will run for the duration of the tour.
