Speaking up: Starting a new nonprofit the San Marcos Civics Club

While the San Marcos City Staff and Council are headed in the right direction with their “Dream Session” initiative, we need a resource to help our neighbors feel empowered to organize and know how to navigate concerns within our local government. As a former City Council Member, I know all too well what people think about how things are run and our recent 2022 San Marcos “National Community Survey” proved that there’s a lot of work to be done to build trust between our local government and its community members.
