Each year, as my color design guru son James orders plants for use at his client’s homes — from those that look like historic cottages to palatial garden estates, those on the waterfront to those considered mountainous — the one color that I can be guaranteed that will be in heavy use is white.

Reusing and recycling is the concept behind the latest gallery exhibit, Something Old to Something New, which features 80 innovative artworks by 70 area artists. The exhibit, which is on display throughout the first-floor galleries of the Price Center, will close today with an afternoon reception from 2 - 4 p.m.
