In Otter News... Otters make a splash in San Marcos River

Except for a brief span of weeks between May and June, the San Marcos River’s banks have been closed to most visitors since the middle of March, meaning that the humans who normally enjoy the river have passed Spring Break and the subsequent months of searing temperatures without enjoying the river’s cool, crystalline waters.

The first spray opened up in my Oso Easy Peasy rose and I thought wow they have captured the essence of a fine heirloom. This was like a breath of fresh air as I had fallen in love with antique and heirloom roses when becoming the director of the American Rose Society years ago.

Wake the Dead hosts Abracadavar Market

As the summer draws to a close, many businesses in San Marcos are taking the tentative first steps toward re-opening. Some businesses and restaurants have opted to host outdoor seating and open-air markets in order to help spark the local economy while keeping patrons and vendors safe.
