The first spray opened up in my Oso Easy Peasy rose and I thought wow they have captured the essence of a fine heirloom. This was like a breath of fresh air as I had fallen in love with antique and heirloom roses when becoming the director of the American Rose Society years ago.

Local web developer to hold workshop on phishing scams
Animate Mazurek, a local web developer from tekRESCUE, will present an upcoming Zoom workshop about the dangers of phishing scams at 2 p.m. on Aug. 26. Meeting ID and password information will be posted on the San Marcos Public Library Facebook page and website ahead of the event.

Wake the Dead hosts Abracadavar Market
As the summer draws to a close, many businesses in San Marcos are taking the tentative first steps toward re-opening. Some businesses and restaurants have opted to host outdoor seating and open-air markets in order to help spark the local economy while keeping patrons and vendors safe.
