Thomaides seeks another term

San Marcos Mayor John Thomaides announced Friday that he will be seeking another term in office.

“It has been my honor to serve the citizens of our great city for the past 18 months,” he said. “I understand that each and every day, as a public servant, I must earn your trust. I believe that working together, we can get things done and address the challenges of growth head on.”

Thomaides has been mayor of San Marcos since December 2016. Before that, he was a five-time San Marcos City Council member, and in each of his five terms his colleagues elected him as mayor pro-tem.
