Gisela Triana, Democrat, is a judge for Place 6 of the Texas Third District Court of Appeals. She assumed office in 2019. Her current term ends on December 31, 2024. She is running for election for the Place 8 judge of the Texas Supreme Court.
Triana served as a judge for the 200th District Court in Texas from 2005 to her election to the state appeals court in 2018.
Triana earned a B.A. from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1985 and a J.D. from the University of Texas Law School in 1988. Triana’s career experience includes working as Trial Division director with the Travis County Attorney’s Office and as staff attorney with the Texas Secretary of State’s Election Division
