Justin Nelson

Justin Nelson is a 2018 Democratic candidate seeking election to the position of Attorney General of Texas. He is from Austin, Texas and is a partner at Susman Godfrey, LLP, a Houston law firm specializing in major civil litigation. Nelson is a graduate of Yale University and the Columbia Law School. He clerked for the former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and Harvie Wilkinson, a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.  He also served as chair of the Economics of the Profession Committee in the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Division and is Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He has practiced and taught constitutional law, and is an adjunct professor at The University of Texas School of Law. Nelson is also the founder and former president of One Nation One Vote.
