Robert Earl Updegrove

Robert Earl Updegrove is a Republican candidate currently seeking re-election for the position of Judge, County Court-At-Law No. He is a native of the Texas Gulf Coast and is a long time San Marcos resident and a local attorney practicing criminal and civil law in Hays County.  Updegrove, along with his brother, owned and operated a commercial fishing & shrimping business while they attended college. He  also taught Business Management classes at Palo Alto College in San Antonio and was a technical writer contracted to Northwest Airlines. Updegrove even owned a specialty residential renovation company.  He now practices law full time serving both criminal and civil cases as well as mediation in Hays County and the surrounding communities. Updegrove’s community pursuits included treasurer and board member of the United Way of Hays County as well as helping out various booster clubs. He is also a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and an active member of the Republican Party and the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce.
