Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz is a 2018 Republican candidate seeking re-election to the U.S. Senate from Texas. Cruz resides in Houston. He graduated from Harvard Law School magna cum laude and served as a Primary Editor of the Harvard Law Review, an Executive Editorial of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy and was also a Founding Editor of the Harvard Latino Law Review. Cruz served as the Solicitor General of Texas, the chief lawyer for the State before the U.S. Supreme Court and all the state and federal appellate courts from 2003-2008. He held a position as the Director of the Office of Policy Planning at the FTC, an Associate Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, and was also a Domestic Policy Advisor for the 200 Bush-Cheney campaign prior to his position as Solicitor General. He also clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist on the U.S. Supreme Court.
