Free diabetes education class

The Hays County Texas A&M Agrilife Extension is offering a free two-day diabetic education class series.
Topics will include how food affects blood glucose, the proper method for testing blood glucose, understanding medications, incorporating healthy foods into food plans and controlling diabetes with physical fitness.
The classes will be held on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 10 and 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church, 209 E. Grove St. Attendees should plan to attend both classes.
