The Hands of Hope Tea ’N More returns this year on April 22. The event will begin at 1 p.m. with table previews and a silent auction in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, located at 325 West Mc-Carty Lane. The high tea, catered by the Texas Pie Company of Kyle, will begin at 2:30 p.m. with a spring fashion show by Chico’s following after.

Now in its 18th year, The Hands of Hope Tea has raised funds for the all-volunteer ecumenical ministry that has helped to change the lives of over 150 women and their families.

During the high tea, tables will be set by hostesses using their own china, silverware and their own creativity to provide centerpieces. Anyone interested in setting or sponsoring a table. please contact Jan Koger or Lisa Livingston at 512-3923377. Table settings or sponsorship is $150.

Each year Hands of Hope offers two free 10week sessions providing a Christian context in which women in need are equipped for life and employment. Classes change from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the participants. When women graduate from Hands of Hope, they have the possibility to move forward with additional training/ education with help from the Hands of Hope Scholarship Fund.
