2 cats for $30 deal ends soon

Time is running out for local residents to take advantage of a purr-fect deal.
Through tomorrow, the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is offering two cats (or kittens) for $30. The fee includes spay/neuter, shots and microchips.
It’s kitten season at the local shelter now and a months-long deal with Austin Pets Alive to take cats turned into the San Marcos shelter has expired. In addition to adoptions, the San Marcos shelter is seeking volunteers and fosters to help keep up with the influx of pets.
The shelter, located at 750 River Road, is open today and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Though the adoption deal is said to run through Saturday, the shelter will be closed then.
