Busy agenda Monday for SMCISD Trustees

Sunday, September 16, 2018

The SMCISD board of trustees is slated to take action on a wide range of subjects when it meets at 6 p.m. tomorrow.

The agenda includes approval of a donation of a piano to San Marcos High School, approval of a trip to New York for the San Marcos High School Orchestra. The extension of a rental agreement with Riverstone Church for Crockett Elementary and a facility usage waiver for Community Action’s GED program are also up for consideration Monday night. The board will also consider the new Student Code of Conduct and new members for the Student Health Advisory Council.

The board is also set to consider approval of design development for the district’s elementary school renovations and design development for the new central administration offices.

Two executive sessions are on the board’s agenda for Monday night as well: one concerning personnel action, and one for a discussion of a grievance hearing with former substitute teacher Karen Oliver.

The board will meet at San Marcos High School tomorrow evening.
