City holding Spring Break Camp for kids from 5 to 11

Thursday, January 31, 2019

The school break is quickly approaching and it can be stressful for working parents to find childcare. The city’s Parks and Recreation Department encourages residents and non-residents to take advantage of Spring Break Camp, March 18-22 from 7:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Dunbar Recreation Center.

Staff will keep your children, ages 5-11, active and entertained during the week. At Spring Break Camp, kids play games, make crafts, and many other fun recreational activities. Campers will also go on small field trips around town to the San Marcos Children’s Park playscape, Public Library, Sunset Bowling Lanes, and the Starplex Theater. Lastly, during this program there will be a large field trip to the Dart’em Up nerf gun arena and a picnic lunch at Harper Park in Austin.

Cost for the camp is $150 per child for the entire week. Children must bring their own lunch each day and a morning snack if desired; an afternoon snack will be provided. Please visit our website for full details.

You can register your child starting Friday, Feb.1 at the Parks and Recreation Main Office, 401 E. Hopkins, or by calling 512-393-8400. Space is limited, so please do not wait to register.
