Meeting on RM 150 today

Transportation Planning
Thursday, August 2, 2018

The realignment of RM 150 is the topic of a public open house today hosted by Hays County and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The realignment is intended to relieve congestion and improve safety along the existing roadway from west of Kyle to Interstate 35, as well as provide additional links in the Central Texas transportation network.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wallace Middle School, 1302 W. Center Street in Kyle.

In 2014, Hays County began studying RM 150 to identify the alignment from just west of Kyle to near I-35. Since the last public meeting in 2015, Hays County and TxDOT have been coordinating to identify roles, responsibilities and funding for the continuation of the environmental study. Now, the project team is ready to meet with the community to share more information about potential alignments and gather public feedback.

Community input is an important part of this process, and the team is committed to a project that enhances safety and mobility throughout Hays County. Public input will help shape this project. All written comments are welcome and must be submitted by Aug.17 to be included in the report.

Written comment cards can be filled out at the open house. Comments can also be submitted through email to info@improve150.com or mailed to RM 150 Alignment, PO Box 5459, Austin, TX 78763.
