San Marcos turns out for chilly celebration

Despite the chill and scattered showers, San Marcans turned out in force to pay homage to our veterans for the annual Veterans Day Parade downtown Saturday. Among the flag-wavers was Henry Garza, U.S. Navy (Ret.), one of two Grand Marshals. ]Daily Record photo by Denise Cathey

There were four-footed fans as well, like Bonnie. Festooned with patriotic crepe paper streamers, she peaks out  through a gap in the railing of the Kiwanis Club’s float.
