Scott & White opens new clinic in San Marcos

Baylor Scott & White - San Marcos Clinic, celebrated opening its doors to the public with a recent ribbon cutting hosted by the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce. 

The festivities took place with the President of Baylor Scott & White, Austin/Round Rock Region Jay Fox addressing those attending.

“This is our second clinic to open in Hays County and we’re honored to be a part of this community,” Fox said. “Today we’re focusing on expanding our primary care capabilities and to continue to support the rapid growth in this region.”

Dr. Rachel McGinnis, who joined the Scott & White team after establishing a thriving medical practice in New Braunfels, said she was excited to be part of the community.

“We have pulled together a very strong team and are looking forward to serving the community by providing a wide range of services for all ages,” she said. “We will continue to focus on preventative care, routine checkups, well exams, immunizations and screening test.”

Baylor Scott and White currently has 49 hospitals, 5,500 active physicians and 44,000 employees. The boards for Baylor Scott & White recently announced the intent to merge with Memorial Hermann Health System, further strengthening health care for Texans.

The new clinic is located at 1340 Wonder World Drive Ste. 2300, in the heart of San Marcos' medical community.
