A Station for the Future

After the formal speeches Friday morning, city officials, members of the San Marcos Fire Department and guests gathered outside the newly built Fire Station #4 for a ceremonial fire hose uncoupling to officially open the new station. The new station, located on Wonder World Drive, replaced the fire station on Broadway Street. Daily Record photos by Denise Cathey

The San Marcos Fire Department handed out commemorative coins to everyone who attended the ceremony. The coin features the new fire station and the seal of the SMFD.
