Talent show auditions slated for Oct. 16

The city of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department and a student group in the advanced programming class from Texas State University will host the first ever community wide talent show, San Marcos Has Talent!, on Thursday, Nov. 8. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the San Marcoas Activity Center, 501 E Hopkins. 

Auditions will be held at Dunbar Recreation Center, 801 W. MLK Dr., on Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This is an open call, but each act is required to have youth involvement.

 Acts will be judged and awards will be given in various categories: most original talent, most unique, best performance and others.
