City Council to meet in special session

The San Marcos City Council has called a special meeting for Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. according to its published agenda.

The council will go into executive session at the start of the meeting to consider two items The first is to discuss the performance goals for the position of City Clerk.

The second item is to discuss the performance goals for the City Attorney.

The agenda does not state if the meeting will be only in person or hybrid with video availabler.

The City Attorney is Samuel Aguirre, recently hired. The City Clerk is Elizabeth Trevino.

Executive session is a non-public portion of the council meeting, routinely for council members to discuss personnel matters. Following the executive session, the council will come back and has the option to take action on either or both of the two executive session agenda items.

The next regular meeting of the City Council is set for Tuesday, June 6.
