City, County offices closed for Labor Day

City of San Marcos and Hays County offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday.

City offices, including City Hall, Public Library, Activity Center, Animal Shelter, Municipal Court, and Utility Offices, will be closed Monday..

Texas Disposal Systems will operate its usual trash collection and recycling routes. Rio Vista Swimming Pool will be open for its final weekend of summer operation from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday through Monday. Animal Control will be available at 512-805-2650.

City offices will reopen Tuesday for normal business hours.

Hays County offices will be closed on Monday and offices will open at their regular times on Tuesday.

The Hays County Commissioners Court will meet at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Hays County Courthouse, 111 E. San Antonio St.

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative’s offices will also be closed on Monday. Bluebonnet members can access their account information and make payments during Labor Day weekend through the co-op’s website at bluebonnet.coop.

To report a power outage, please call 800-949-4414, go to bluebonnet.coop or use Bluebonnet’s mobile app. Members enrolled in Bluebonnet’s Outage Alerts can report an outage by texting OUT to 85700. Should an outage occur, Bluebonnet personnel will be on call Labor Day weekend to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible.
