Is KZSM the haunted radio station?
Do you believe in ghosts? If you do, then stop by sometime and say hello to “Willy.” There are many who question whether Willy is real, yet others will regale you with stories of mischievous encounters with our resident guardian spirit. Carole, of Friday Night with Care, is probably the radio host who has become most familiar, having brought in psychics during her program to communicate with him. Often, during her program, she references him and acknowledges his presence openly. Others on our staff will only give reference to him when equipment in the studio begins to spontaneously malfunction. In either case, we are told that Willy likes the music and that this appears to be his reason for taking up residence with us. What are your thoughts?
KZSM hails the return of Mark Diehl and Chris Rue to the airwaves! Tune in on Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon for Mixed Bag. The specific format is still being established but we’ve been told that it will probably be a mix of commentary on current events as well as a variety of music and information.
Other new programs on the schedule are, Love Line, Connected Heart, and the Ellen B. Show. Join Atom and Sean for bad love advice on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. We had to schedule them late in the evening due to adult content and “cheeky” humor! On the other end of the advice spectrum is Connected Heart with Robin and Wendy. Listen on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. for advice on integrating the mind, body and spirit and suggestions on how to become a self-actualized individual. The Ellen B. show at 7 p.m. on Thursdays features our own Ellen of Sid’s Place. She interviews individuals whom she believes have interesting stories to tell about themselves and the things they do.
You can become a part of our diverse program line-up too! Bring your program ideas to our next staff meeting on the 15th of August at Wake the Dead Coffee House. We can also be found in the Kissing Alley on the 16th. Join us for Conwaythewhale and Fire in the Pines from 6 – 9 p.m. If you’re out and about on a Saturday, come see us at the Farmer’s Market as well.
Don’t forget the 78666 Triple Threat at the Buzzmill on Sept. 21st, 22nd, and the 23rd for three days of heavy metal!
