Playscape to close Aug. 7-11

The San Marcos Playscape at Children’s Park will be closed Aug. 8 through 11, the city says, so that workers can make minor tweaks in line with the facility’s warranty.

“They’ll be checking screws/ bolts on all the equipment to make sure they are secure and functioning as designed,” city spokeswoman Kristy Stark said. “They will also complete work to bring some items further into ADA compliance following a recent inspection.

The closure will last from 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7 until 7 a.m on Saturday, Aug.

11. After that, it will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., regular hours for all San Marcos parks.
