Above, Dr. Mario Garza offers the blessing that began the 2023 Sacred Springs Powwow on Saturday and Sunday at the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment in San Marcos. There were indigenous arts on display and approximately 100 Native American dancers performed. Some attended workshops on the Coahuiltecan language, a program of the Indigenous Cultures Institute.
