Rotary Club of San Marcos earns several awards
The Rotary Club of San Marcos received seven awards at the annual conference of Rotary District 5840, which includes 55 clubs in South Central Texas, on Nov. 11 in Kerrville.
San Marcos Rotary was honored for its local community service projects, support for Rotary's international polio eradication effort, fundraising for other Rotary International service, and the quality of local public information activities.
Rotary has been in South Central Texas since 1912. The San Marcos club was chartered in 1921. Rotary is nonpolitical and nonprofit.
